Novel Ideas is our 6th-8th grade book group. A free copy of the book is provided for the first 8 participants. Light refreshments are served at every meeting.

This month we will be reading Good Different by Meg Eden Kuyatt.

This novel in verse is about Selah. She has rules to help her through her day, knows to keep her emotions pushed down and pretend to be normal. However, one day she isn't able to hide those emotions and hits another student. Now Selah's world is collapsing. Maybe, though, as Selah learns more about herself she'll realize that different doesn't necessarily mean bad or damaged. Different can be good, but can she convince her school of that?
