Are there quiet study spaces available?
Yes, both the Main Library and the Osage County Branch have meeting rooms that can be reserved in advance or checked out if they are not in use. The Main Library has two single-use story pods available that can be used on a first come, first served basis.
How do I print from my phone?
You can print documents and images from your phone by downloading the Spot Global app.
How do I request an item the library does not own?
You can request a book not owned by the library by completing the Request for Materials form.
Do I have to pick up my items at the library?
Any items placed on hold can be picked up at the library, at a bookmobile stop, at one of our remote lockers, or through our homebound services.
Can I check out a wifi hotspot?
The library has a limited number of wifi hotspots for checkout. They are available for 3 weeks and require a $25 refundable deposit. Call the library at (573) 634-2464 to be put on the list for one.
Can I donate books to the library?
Both library locations accepts donations of books and materials any time we are open. Most items will be sorted and sold at either the Friends of Osage County bookstore or the MRRL/ABLE annual Book Sale.
How do I reserve a Meeting Room?
Our Reserve a Room page will show you available spaces at the library. Use the filter on the left to find rooms that are available on a specific date and time. Click the Room Details button to learn more about the room or the Reserve this Room button to go to the reservation form. You'll receive an automated notification to confirm your request, an update once the library has reviewed the request, and a reminder before your reservation.

To renew your library card, you can either call in, come in, or fill out our online library card renewal form.

Where can I return books?
Books can be returned to either library branch or the bookmobile. They may also be placed in the library drop boxes throughout Cole and Osage Counties.

Can I get a document notarized?
Yes, we have a total of four notaries on staff. There are three at the Main Library and one at the Osage County Branch. Please call ahead for availability.
Does the library have scanning and faxing capabilities?
Both branches of MRRL offer faxing and scanning. Faxing is 50 cents a page.
