Novel Ideas is our 6th-8th grade book group. A free copy of the book is provided for the first 8 participants. Light refreshments are served at every meeting.
This month we will be discussing The Last Dragon on Mars by Scott Reintgen.
Space is not empty like some may believe. Instead the first Earth astronauts discovered that space was filled with dragons for each star, moon, and planet. Earth's dragon died to make Earth habitable to humans. Humanity decided Mars' dragon needed to do the same. Only when that dragon died, he cursed Mars so that the humans would struggle to survive.
Lunar Jones is a scrapper, collecting valuable gear that storms uncover. Only, one day he wanders into an restricted zone underground and discovers a secret that might just save Mars.
