Monthly meeting

Rejuvenate your mind and body. All shapes, sizes and abilities are welcome. Bring a mat (or towel) to class if you have one, but these are not required. Drop-ins welcome. No charge – library program.

Tech Time is a new program offered by the library that offers one-on-one technology help to patrons, no sign-up necessary. Just walk in with your device or questions, and we can do what we can to assist!

For ages 3-5. Stories and songs in the library's park area (High St. side of the building).

If the weather is not cooperating, we will meet in the library's Art Gallery.

For ages 6-12. Reservations required and limited to 25 participants. An introductory karate demonstration and class led by The Art of Martial Arts Dojo.

Step back in time to learn how Missouri’s Native American tribes used local natural resources. Discover fire-starting skills, sign language, and twining. Create a take-home bone and glass bead jewelry piece. Share stories and drumming traditions.

Stories, songs, activities and crafts for families. Each week during the summer will be related to the summer reading program theme. This week: Birds, Birds, Birds. Celebrate our colorful feathered friends!

June 4: Color Our World

Drop in and enjoy an open learning and play time featuring a variety of sensory and activity stations.

Join us in the Woodland Art Gallery of the Osage Branch for stories, songs and a whole lot of fun! Recommended for preschool ages.  No reservations needed. This week we will create something special for the men in our lives.

Bring your favorite book to read to a trained therapy dog (TDI-Therapy Dogs International). Raina and River will be in the Children's department on June 11th and 25th, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. They can't wait to hear your story!

Reading Heroes is a program providing one-on-one reading enrichment sessions for kids who've completed grades K-2.  These sessions are led by a retired reading teacher and are available in half hour increments from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

No reservations needed. Turn recyclables into works of art. A variety of base and decorative items will be available. What you create is up to you. We provide the materials, you provide the imagination!

A family event. No reservations needed. It may be hot, but we can still have fun! Beat the heat with MRRL at the Ellis-Porter Riverside Park! Sidewalk chalk, hula hoops, jump ropes, oversize games, bubbles and more.

Genealogist Laura Loyborg hosts genealogy help sessions each Thursday. There will be a lesson, Q&A time, handouts, and individually-assisted research help.

"Technology for Life" is a series of workshops that seek to build, improve, and reinforce technology knowledge and skills, with the goal of enhancing participants' day-to-day life.

If you have an Android phone, but have difficulty using or understanding it, this is the class for you. We'll talk about checking emails, navigating settings, and more. Please note this class is in-person only.

All ages. No reservations needed. A family event featuring ventriloquist Doug Mickan. Did Jack really like beans? Did Little Red really ride a unicycle to Grandmother's house?

Reading Buddies at Missouri River Regional Library is a literacy-based program that pairs emerging readers from kindergarten through second grade with teen volunteers. Buddies will meet once a week to read together and do group activities.

Hang out and make art with other artsy teens! We've got the supplies, you bring the creativity.

Join us for our Junk Journaling Group! Each month, Alexandria A., a local Junk Journaling Pro, will show us a new technique and then we'll get to incorporate it in our junk journaling time!

Dr. Gary Hill made national headlines when he opened Lincoln University's Law Enforcement Training Academy, the first of its kind at an HBCU. This project is part of his larger passion in providing public safety to communities across the country.

This month's book is The Lost Year by Katherine Marsh.
