Bookmobile services at the library date back to the fifties when the library system first expanded their reach into Cole County. Outreach to the underserved has always been important to the mission of the library. The way we provide that service has changed with the times, but MRRL is proud to still serve the Cole and Osage County communities in this unique way.
The MRRL Outreach department makes some school and community stops throughout the year. MRRL and JC Parks and Recreation have partnered to provide bookmobile access in Ellis Porter Riverside Park and Memorial Parks in the summer months of June and July for day both campers and park users.
Rush Truck Center of Jefferson City has been a strong supporter of the Library and Bookmobile for many years, and we are so thankful for their support!

Homebound Services
In order to ensure that all citizens of Cole and Osage counties have access to basic library services, Missouri River Regional Library offers delivery of books and other library materials to patrons who are unable to visit a library facility due to illness or physical limitations.
Deliveries are also made by van to retirement homes throughout Cole and Osage counties. To inquire about the library visiting a local retirement home or if you qualify for homebound service, please contact Jon Karr at (573) 634-2464 ext. 240.
