Alzheimer's Association representative and author Jill Pietroburgo will be in the library's park area with a storywalk, games, and Alzheimer's information for families. 

A special time for babies and their caregivers featuring music, movement and socialization. For children 2 and under, and their caregivers. No reservations needed.

Choose from three sessions:

9:30-10 a.m.

Drop in and enjoy an open learning and play time featuring a variety of sensory and activity stations. This event is offered on the third Tuesday of every month.

For ages 3-5. Stories and songs in the library's park area (High St. side of the building).

If the weather is not cooperating, we will meet in the library's Art Gallery.

Join MDC Education staff for a fun activity about animal adaptations, where we will learn about camouflaging and different bird beak adaptations through hands on activities. Space is limited to be sure to reserve a spot for your child now!

Reading Heroes is a program providing one-on-one reading enrichment sessions for kids who've completed grades K-2.  These sessions are led by a retired reading teacher and are available in half hour increments from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m.

iCook is a fun hands-on program series offered by the University of Missouri Extension. You and your child will cook, eat, and play together. The program is for children ages 8-12 and the adult who prepares their meals.

Reading Buddies at Missouri River Regional Library is a literacy-based program that pairs emerging readers from kindergarten through second grade with teen volunteers. Buddies will meet once a week to read together and do group activities.

Bookworms is our themed book discussion group for 3rd-5th grade students. This month's theme is "Superheroes" so please read a chapter book or graphic novel that you think fits this theme and be ready to share it with your fellow bookwor
