Program Description

Description

During this year's Operation Bugle Boy we will show the movie The Last Full Measure, the true story of Air Force Pararescueman William Pitsenbbarger. He personally saved over 60 men before being killed in the bloodiest battle of the Vietnam War at Xa Cam My on April 11, 1966, where 80 percent of Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry were either killed or wounded.

Pitsenbbarger's comrades and father seek the help of Pentagon officials and other surviving veterans of the battle to finally procure him the Congressional Medal of Honor. "He came there to save lives," says Army mud soldier and Purple Heart recipient Fred Navarro, "and that was all he did."

The Last Full Measure reminds us why our Vietnam veterans are all heroes and deserve out respect and honor.
