This was as intriguing as the first book. I like how the characters are accepting of their differences and find their friendship realistic. They support each other and encourage one another to go after their dreams, be they normal or not. I look forward to following Aster and Charlie as they become better friends.

This was an interesting story. The characters are fun and the story entertaining. The mythological characters are intermixed and made for some amusing interactions. I will be on the lookout for another volume.

What to do with a life where everything he's worked for is shattered?

This is a delightful graphic novel that chronicles a hockey player’s years in school. Told in a series of “vlogs”, I found this book to be creative and inspiring. Any book that can interest me in sports has to be a good one.
 

This is the final installment of the Castle Glower series. In it we find Princess Celine, Rolf, Lilah, Lulath, Pogue and their mother in Grath to visit Lulath’s family. The ship that is being given to Lulath and Lilah for their wedding is being built. On its maiden voyage, they find that like the castle, the ship has a will of its own and takes them on a grand adventure.
This was a fitting finale to the series. It was engaging and full of adventure. I loved this series and highly recommend it.

Jarrett Krosoczka's graphic memoir of his childhood is compelling, sad and joyful all at the same time. He is born to a teen mother addicted to heroin who is in and out of rehab and prison during his childhood. His grandfather gets custody of him and he is raised by his grandparents. Shirley and Joe were not the sweetest grandparents; they liked a drink and a cigarette and had some grueling arguments, but they loved Ja and saw to his needs. They enrolled him in art classes even though they didn't think art was a valuable career.
