Description
Join Dr. Nadia Navarrete-Tindall for a presentation on 20 or more native edible plants, including fruit trees, perennial greens, aromatic herbs, flowers, and tubers. She will share information on identification tips, growth requirements, maintenance, when and what to harvest, as well as their value to pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. She oversees the Native and Specialty Crops Program at Lincoln University Cooperative Extension; there, she and her team created and maintain the Native Plant Outdoor Lab and the Finca EcoFarm on campus, where visitors can see more than 100 well-established native plant species. In this program, she will share information about the most successful species grown on campus with income potential. Recipes and food samples will be available.
