Description
Have you ever noticed how a smile from a stranger can brighten your day or a scowl from a stranger can put you on edge? These small interactions are fleeting, lasting a few seconds at most. However, they have an enormous effect on our lives with the power to quickly shift our mood from confident to unsure or distracted to present. This workshop will focus on the science behind the big impact of small interactions, provide examples that apply to everyday life, and new skills to capitalize on the positive impact of these experiences. Presenters include Dr. Gabriel DeLong, a doctoral limited licensed psychologist and assistant professor of psychology at Lincoln University, and Michael Beeson, a psychology major at Lincoln University.
