Reading Heroes is a program providing one-on-one reading enrichment sessions for kids who've completed grades K-2.  These sessions are led by a retired reading teacher and are available in half hour increments from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Join us for some fun and friendly Bridge gameplay every Thursday! All skill levels and new players welcome. 

Genealogist Laura Loyborg hosts genealogy help sessions each Thursday. There will be a lesson, Q&A time, handouts, and individually-assisted research help.

Three 1-hour sessions at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 p.m. are offered on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

Help Wanted, a novel by Adelle Waldman, brings together a team of workers at a big-box store in a small town--and follows their working and personal relationships, both good and bad. 

This year's Capital READ is Help Wanted, following a team of low-wage workers at an unnamed box store in a rural community.

For grades 1-5. No reservations needed. Create an air-powered car from a variety of supplied materials and then test your invention with speed and distance challenges.

Spend some time having fun and making music. Regardless of how much experience you have, bring a ukulele and join the group!

We meet twice each month, 6:15-7:45 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays in the Truman Room.
