It seems like nothing is as frustrating as a slow computer. In this class, we'll go over methods to speed up your personal computer, from removing apps to performing cleaning checks, and more. Attend in person or virtually.

If you've ever needed to take a look at old Missouri newspapers, this class is for you! Whether you're a genealogist, a researcher or an amateur historian, there's a lot you can learn from the library's newspaper databases.

The Capital City Job Center in Jefferson City, in partnership with the Missouri River Regional Library, hosts Job Search Thursdays once a quarter.

Join us for some fun and friendly Bridge gameplay every Thursday! All skill levels and new players welcome. 

Genealogist Laura Loyborg hosts genealogy help sessions each Thursday. There will be a lesson, Q&A time, handouts, and individually-assisted research help.

Three 1-hour sessions at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 p.m. are offered on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

Help Wanted, a novel by Adelle Waldman, brings together a team of workers at a big-box store in a small town--and follows their working and personal relationships, both good and bad. 

This year's Capital READ is Help Wanted, following a team of low-wage workers at an unnamed box store in a rural community. 

Join us in decorating altoid tins to create little portable worlds.

Hang out and make art with other artsy teens! We've got the supplies, you bring the creativity.

For ages 6-8. Reservations required and limited to 10 participants. Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Sets introduce coding concepts through Colby, a programmable mouse with colorful buttons.

Calling all fae, faeries, and fairies! Join us in creating flower crowns, dining on delicious fairy delights, and test your knowledge of the fae against others. 

For grades 1-5. No reservations needed. Create an air-powered car from a variety of supplied materials and then test your invention with speed and distance challenges.

Spend some time having fun and making music. Regardless of how much experience you have, bring a ukulele and join the group!

We meet twice each month, 6:15-7:45 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays in the Truman Room.
