Come practice Qigong with us in the green space next to the library.  Qigong is a mind-body cultivation practice consisting of coordinated body-posture, movement, and meditation. This form of Qigong is from the Falun Gong practice.

Bring your blanket or camp chair and spread out on the library lawn under the big blue tent to enjoy stories, songs and story time fun.  Recommended for preschool ages.  No reservations needed.

A literacy based program that pairs struggling readers from kindergarten through second grade with teen volunteers. They meet once a week to read together and do group activities. 

SAGA is a teen-led group dedicated to discussing matters of importance to LGBTQ+ teens in a supportive, confidential environment. Allies are also welcome! SAGA will be meeting virtually in July.

A book discussion for 3-5 grade students. First 10 participants receive a free copy of the book before the discussion. Please check with the Children's Desk in the Main Library to receive your book. Light snacks will be served. 

Starting July 15th Wednesday evening Yoga will take place inside the library, up in the East side of the art gallery.  Registration is required. Rejuvenate your mind and body. All shapes, sizes and abilities are welcome.

Joseph Aner was one of dozens of children who rode an orphan train from the New York Foundling Asylum to Osage City, Missouri, in 1901. The Fred and Catherine Markway family gave him a home.
