Kids in the Kitchen is a fun hands-on program offered by the University of Missouri Extension that teaches kids how to prepare simple recipes and encourages them to be active and to eat healthier meals and snacks.

Three 1-hour sessions at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 p.m. are offered on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

Ages 3-6. No reservations needed. Music and movement for children and their caregivers. Two classes for different age groups. 10:30-11:00 (0-3 yrs. old). 11:15-12:00 (3-6 yrs. old). No reservations needed.

Reading Heroes is a program providing one-on-one reading enrichment sessions for kids who are enrolled in grades K-2.  These sessions are led by a retired reading teacher and are available by appointment in half hour increments from 10:30 am

Join us to play Minecraft with your friends!

Drop in and enjoy an open learning and play time featuring a variety of sensory and activity stations. This event is offered on the third Tuesday of every month.

The Eating From the Garden program helps kids improve their eating habits by giving them a green thumb. Join Ms. Dawn from the MU Extension to learn gardening skills, explore vegetables, and create recipes using your harvest.

Rejuvenate your mind and body. All shapes, sizes and abilities are welcome. Bring a mat (or towel) to class if you have one, but these are not required. Drop-ins welcome. No charge – library program.

Ages 7-12. Registration required and limited to 12 spots. Create an electronic alarm, power a helicopter blade, or design other simple electronics using kits.
