Drop in and enjoy an open learning and play time featuring a variety of sensory and activity stations.

Join us in the Woodland Art Gallery of the Osage Branch for stories, songs and a whole lot of fun! Recommended for preschool ages.  No reservations needed. Ms. Sarah will bring out the sensory toys to enjoy.

Technology for Life is a series of computer classes meant to provide basic computer knowledge for a lifetime of learning. 

Kids in the Kitchen is a fun hands-on program offered by the University of Missouri Extension that teaches kids how to prepare simple recipes and encourages them to be active and to eat healthier meals and snacks.

Are you bad at art? That's okay! Join us to create whatever art you want, bad or good or in between on tiny canvases! Bring friends and create art together!

Reservations required.

Join us for a family movie in our Art Gallery. We will be serving popcorn to enjoy during the show. Blankets and pillows welcome!

Reading Heroes is a program providing one-on-one reading enrichment sessions for kids who are enrolled in grades K-2.  These sessions are led by a retired reading teacher and are available by appointment in half hour increments from 10:30 am

Hang out and make art with other artsy teens! We've got the supplies, you bring the creativity. 

Tech Time is a program offered by the library that offers one-on-one technology help to patrons, no sign-up necessary. Just walk in with your device or questions, and we will do what we can to assist!

Come out to the Osage County Library to create your own Mini Fairy Garden to bring home.  The library will provide all of the supplies including various containers, succulents, and fun decorations for the gardens.  Bring your imagination

Travel writer Bill Clevlen will visit Jefferson City on his national tour to talk about his new book, Presidential Road Trips. He began his tour with a presentation for the Smithsonian to celebrate President's Day.

This month we will be discussing The Last Dragon on Mars by Scott Reintgen.

Representatives from KidSight will be here to offer quick, free vision screening for children six and under.

Bring your favorite book to read to a trained therapy dog (TDI-Therapy Dogs International). 

Grover will be in the Children's department on April 1st and 15th, 5:30-6:30 pm. 

For grades 1-5. Registration not required. Create your own wiggling, jiggling bristle bot from a toothbrush. The design includes a vibrating motor, battery, and pipe cleaner legs.
