RACS--A Safe Place When It Isn't Safe at Home

The Jefferson City Rape & Abuse Crisis Service provides support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, counseling and shelter services in a space designed for healing and hope. RACS serves nine central Missouri counties with a variety of services including court advocacy, crisis intervention, support groups, case management, and a 24-hour hotline. Angela Hirsch, RACS executive director, will describe the service's history and resources and how individuals and communities can support the work of this essential organization.
