Mary Lou's Art Show @ the Osage Branch

Mary Lou (Matthews) Brandebery uses a variety of old sweaters and other fabric to design new clothing. She adds intricate beadwork to create a new style. Her fabric art will be displayed in the Osage County Library from October 1 through November 22 in the Woodland Art Gallery.

Mary Lou was born and raised in Osage County at Welcome on Contrary Creek at the foot of Pumpkin Hill.  When she was 14, her family moved to Colorado.  She attended Linn High School her freshman and sophomore years and graduated in 1953 from Greeley High School.  Mary Lou graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1957.  She taught History, Physical Education, and Art in Douglas County, Colorado until her retirement.  In 2023, Mary Lou moved back to Missouri to be closer to family.
