Title: Spiderwick Chronicles
All ages. Bring a folding chair, sleeping bag, blanket or pillow and watch how twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace (Freddie Highmore), along with their sister Mallory (Sarah Bolger), cope with moving into the run-down Spiderwick Estate with their mother (Mary-Louise Parker). Upon moving they find themselves pulled into an alternate world full of faeries and other creatures. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. Rated PG.

NOTE: Since this is an after hours program, the library doors will be closed at 6:15 p.m.

Title: LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN (2003), directed by Stephen Norrington. The heroes of 1899 are brought to life with the help of some expensive special effects in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. From the pages of Victorian literature come Captain Nemo, Dr. Jekyll (and his alter ego Mr. Hyde), Dorian Gray, Tom Sawyer, an Invisible Man, Mina Harker (from Dracula), and the hunter Allan Quatermain (Sean Connery), all brought together to combat an evil megalomaniac out to conquer the world.

These films will come from across the globe, and cover a host of genres; the only commnality: they'll all be outstanding features. From time to time, I'll throw in an old favorite.
