We regret to inform you guys that our program this Thursday has been canceled.  On the upside, it has been rescheduled for July 17 at 7pm in the Annex meeting room (across the street from the main building).    Why was it canceled?  Well, there's a very good reason.  Our special guest, Jake Adelstein, is in the process of publishing his memoir, Tokyo Vice.  It was originally planned to come out next year, but his publishers have decided to rush and get the book out by October!  So, join us on July 17 (a Friday) to learn all about what it is l

Teen Librarian's band to play Teen Open Mic Night!

Yes, you read that right.  My band, First, Second, will officially be playing the Teen Open Mic Night on May 30th.  So come on out, even if you don't want to get up on stage.  We're going to have some serious fun!  Oh, and bring your dancin' shoes.

Teen Open Mic Night!

Express Yourself @ MRRL this summer!  Our Summer Reading Club is set to kick off on May 26 and we decided it would be pretty cool to celebrate a season of self-expression with an Open Mic Night.

Any teens who have a talent to showcase are encouraged to sign up.  Acts can be groups or individuals and can be any type of performance.  Sign up today to reserve your time slot!

The art and industry of comics - For Teens

Hey all you teenaged-type folks:  we know all about your obsession with graphic novels, manga and other comic-related art forms.  In other words, you'd better be joining us for a special program dedicated to the history and industry behind this popular genre.  If you're interested in a career in comics or are just interested to learn something new about something you already love, then join us on Thursday, March 5th at 7pm.

This program will be presented by special guest Matt Forrester, comic book buff and industry veteran.

Teen Movie Night has been rescheduled! We will be showing "The Simpsons Movie" on March 7th.

Join us on Saturday, March 7th at 6pm in the Art Gallery to watch America's favorite animated family in their silver screen debut!

Witness the hilarity that ensues when Homer accidentally pollutes the town's water supply, Springfield is encased in a gigantic dome by the EPA, and the Simpsons family are declared fugitives.  You don't want to miss this!
