Art Gallery Shows

Joey Crider, a local artist, is the latest to be featured in the MRRL Art Gallery. Located on the second floor of the main library, the Gallery showcases local art and artists on a rotating basis. Joey's work will be around for a couple of months, so stop by and see some of the beautiful pictures hanging at your library!

There will be another gallery crawl this coming Friday, Oct. 28th from 4:30 to 8:30pm. If you have never made it to a gallery crawl before, the point of the evening is to visit multiple art galleries around town (including the one in the Main Branch of the Library, downtown, featuring "Colorscapes", by local artist Annie Potts), soaking in the art, snacks and company of fellow crawlers. This exhibit will be on display until March 31, 2011 at the Osage County Library Gallery in Linn during regular library hours.   These works are by various Osage County artists.

Our Art Gallery has its very own Facebook Page now! You can "like" the library's gallery to get invites to events, information about current and upcoming art shows and tidbits of information about the artists and art happenings in the Mid-Missouri area. We have a couple of great shows planned for the Art Gallery (located on the 2nd floor of the Main library building in Jefferson City) over the next few months. First, in October, we'll be featuring the work of Elmer Sanders. His work will be displayed from October to December of this year.

The Oil & Acrylic Art Exhibit, showcasing ten Osage County artists, is on display at the Osage County Library Gallery in Linn.
