Missouri River Regional Library & Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Take the Capital City Back in Time…….
Nine years ago, Missouri River Regional Library took the City of Jefferson back in time, returning to the days of knights and bards, fantasy and chivalry. For the first time in nearly 400 years, the Renaissance had come to town.
It began as a dream…..
All around the country, Renaissance Festivals delight audiences, bringing the past alive through the pageantry of the Royal Court, the mystery of elves and fairies, the antics of jugglers and the excitement of belly dancers. Our Festival started as a promotional event for the Renaissance Festival of Kansas City, becoming a stand-alone festival several years ago with the addition of Full Contact Jousting.
Today our single day event showcases the talented performers of the The Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire http://www.stlrenfaire.com/ , bringing the color and excitement of life during the Renaissance to Binder Park. And to the City of Jefferson they will come, knights and ladies, royalty and peasants, musicians and storytellers, pirates and the fae folk, bringing with them the fun, frivolity and interactive experience you can find no place else.
Family friendly and affordable, the Jefferson City Renaissance Festival is one of a kind.
Join us for Jousting, The Jolly Rogers, Elvendrums, a band of elves, The Ladies of the Salty Kiss, The Musical Blades, The Deva Dancers, The Queen of the Fairies, Chuvani Dancers, The Royal Court, free children's crafts and games, wandering minstrels, The Highland Games and much much more! Shop among our merchants, share a turkey leg or kettle corn and take your family back in time.
Join us. Believe in the Magic.
