The Shape of Water by Andrea Camilleri, 224 pages, read by Tracy, on 06/17/2012

This is the first in the Inspector Montalbano mysteries. A local big-shot is found dead of natural causes in his car in a compromising position. The car is in an area of the town Vigata where prostitutes and drug dealers are the norm. The Inspector is good at his job and solves this murder, but with all the political corruption and Mafia problems he is told to quickly close the case. There is a lot of evidence that leads to a possible suspect but could it be a set up. This book was translated from Italian to English but there is a handy section of notes in the back explaining some of the expressions used. It was a fast read and I will probably read more since the Inspector is a likeable character. Definitely an adult book.
