Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2) by Sarah J. Maas, 432 pages, read by Angie, on 07/02/2013

I thoroughly enjoyed throne of Glass and was delighted when I saw Crown of Midnight on Netgalley…even more delighted when I got an actual paper copy at ALA 2013 from the publishers. (I will admit that I do enjoy having an actual paper book in my hands more than reading from my tablet!) Crown of Midnight lived up to my anticipation. I really enjoy this world that Sarah Maas has created and I can’t wait for the rest of this series.

In Crown of Midnight, Celaena Sardothien is even more bad ass than ever (if that is even possible). We get some awesome scenes of her releasing her demon self on the bad guys and it is amazing! Celaena also makes her decision between Chaol and Dorian. So there is romance and no love triangle…thank God! I love her relationships in this book, not only with the guys, but also with Nehemia and the King to an extent. We find out more about Celaena and the King and what happened to the magic of the world. I really love where this series is going. It will break your heart in a million pieces, but in time it will mend (hopefully by the time the next book comes out).
