Reader's Theatre - Tuesdays With Morrie
Submitted by rummykhan on Mon, 06/15/2009 - 08:34
Tuesdays With Morrie was a constant on the New York Times Bestseller List for more than for years. This is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, a journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old profesor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie and what starts as a simple visit turns in to a weekly pilgramage and a last class in the meaning of life.
To attend this Reader's Theatre event, get your tickets starting today (Monday, June 15th) for $10.00 each and then come to the library, in the Art Gallery, on Friday, August 7th or Saturday, August 8th at 7:30pm to see this amazing story as presented by Jack Renner and Tom Renner (directed by MRRL's own Mark Wegman).
