THE READERS EYE: MODERN LITERARY CINEMA

The Reader’s Eye is a book/film discussion program focusing on acclaimed literary works that have been made into equally acclaimed films. Participants will read the novel then meet to view the related film and discuss both works: their differences, their similarities, and their general impact.
Participants must pre-register for this program with
Viewings/discussions will be held on the First Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Linn Library
Feb 7: Last of the Mohi
March 6: 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), directed by Stanley Kubrick. Short story "The Sentinel" by Arthur C. Clarke
April 3: The Man Who Would Be King (1975), starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine, directed by John Huston, short story by Rudyard Kipling.
May 1: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), directed by Michael Gondry
