Maryann Campbell

“Lights & Lens” is a display of digital and film photography by Maryann Campbell and is on display at the MRRL Art Gallery through September. The gallery, located on the library’s second floor, is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

A lifelong Missouri resident, Campbell now lives in Lebanon where she is a school librarian. She has been interested in photography since childhood, and says that while she enjoys the technological advances in photography, she also uses film and analog cameras in her work. Campbell’s tools range from old box cameras to iPhone.

Campbell says that her photographs “capture a variety of subjects and moods … I find myself drawn to signs, buildings and objects that contain nostalgia and traces of history.”
