Mike Cadden, chair of the English Department at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph is the ReadMOre 2011 Le Guin Scholar. Dr. Cadden is the author of Ursula K. Le Guin Beyond Genre: Fiction for Children and Adults (Routledge Press, 2005). He received his doctorate in English Studies from Illinois State University-Normal in 1996; his M.A. and B.A. in English from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University-Blacksburg.
