Biography:Josh is a Missouri local. In high school he twice attended the summer school program at Kansas City Art Institute. This experience exposed him to a more rigorous environment and pushed him to discover the extent of his ability. He was able to raise the quality of his work in order to get accepted to many of the leading art schools in the country. He was awarded many scholarships, but accepted the one offered to him by The Rhode Island School of Design. After four years he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. He lived in Boston for a year after graduating and has now moved back home to Missouri. Here he plans to use his skill and understanding of the visual language to express what he finds. |

Artist's Statement:I make paintings. Many times they are of normal things or situations that people might see as too pedestrian to be depicted in paint. However, as a wise woman once said, "Beauty's where you find it." I try to paint things so people may be able to see the beauty I find.
