Biography:Carol Anderson was born in Farmington, Missouri and grew up on a small farm near Farmington. She always loved creating things, ranging from drawings to doll clothes, and considered herself an artist even at a young age. During high school she enrolled in Art Instruction Inc in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a three-year home study course. She finished in 1962 and for everal years was busy being a wife and mother to a son and two daughters. Belonging to the local art guild helped keep Carol interested in art. Her teaching career began in 1980 at the Camdenton VoTech in the Adult Education Program and teaching both adult and children’s classes in her home. She likes to try all art mediums but does most of her work in watercolor and oils. The box of ribbons won over the years in various art shows is proof of her success as an artist. Carol has been accepted into the National Oil and Acrylic Show; Watercolor USA; and exhibited in the first juried Missouri Watercolr Society National Show. She is a member of the Ozark Brush & Palette Club of the Lake of the Ozarks (president for two years); The National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society; The Missouri Watercolor Society; The Columbia Art League; and the Lebanon Art Guild.

Artist's Statement:It has always been a thrill when one of my students wins a ribbon or honor with their artwork. As a Missourian born and raised and living most of my life here, I have always felt that my state has some of the prettiest scenery and some of the most interesting people anywhere. In all my paintings, no matter what the subject, I like to have something alive to make the painting more intimate and personal for the viewer. There are no favorite subjects. All are interesting and challenging to me. Anyone wishing pricing or other To contact Carol about her work: (573) 873-5831
