Programming Associate Children's Department
Full-time opportunity for creative individual to develop and implement programs for Children’s Department such as Story Time, fun nights, crafts and parties. Will also work scheduled shifts at public service desks, locate materials for patrons, shelve materials, answer phone and check materials in/out by computer. Work hours are generally 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday with evening and weekend hours as needed. Position requires good reading, basic computer, and excellent customer service skills to work effectively with patrons and staff and attention to detail. Must be able to bend, lift, reach and stoop to set up and break down materials/equipment for programs, carry program equipment and supplies; shelve and retrieve library materials; push filled library carts across carpeted floors & through narrow book shelving. COMPUTER CENTER CLERK
Part-time employment opportunity in Public Computer Center staffing help desk/public service desk and providing hands-on, troubleshooting assistance to a diverse group of patrons at computer work stations. Duties include: assisting patrons with computer and printer usage; operating cash register; maintaining noise level, order and appearance of computer center and performing other tasks as assigned. Must have previous customer service experience and excellent customer service skills to effectively work with Library patrons & staff; must have trouble shooting skills for personal computer and printer operations, Microsoft Office & Internet.
