Story times at the library
Submitted by Children on Fri, 08/27/2010 - 11:52During the month of September, weekly preschool story hours will be held each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. No reservations are needed for these days.
Beginning the first week of October, this schedule will change in order to offer a weekly Family Fun hour. Again, no reservations will be required. The schedule will be:
Tuesdays, 10:30 - 11:00: Preschool Story Time
Wednesdays, 10:30 - 11:30: Family Fun hour

Summer Reading Program Ends!
Submitted by Children on Mon, 08/09/2010 - 11:13It is that time of year again. Time to turn in your Summer Reading log sheets! I know you have all been reading a lot this summer so get those log sheets filled out and bring them into the library by this Friday, August 13th. We have Pizza Hut certificates for the first level prize and a variety of prizes, ranging from beach balls to bookmarks for the second level. So get those books finished and bring your log sheets into the library to claim your prizes!

New Children's Computers
Submitted by Children on Mon, 07/05/2010 - 16:59We were awarded a grant from the Missouri State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services for new children's computers. We have two computers in the Children's Department, one in the PCC, and one at Linn.

Renaissance Festival

Summer Reading

Summer Reading is for all ages: children, teen and adults! If you don't know what to read or need help finding something, the helpful MRRL staff will be glad to assist you. So Make a Splash, Catch a Wave or Water Your Mind this summer with our Summer Reading Clubs!

Summer Reading Club
Submitted by Children on Tue, 05/18/2010 - 11:36Our Summer Reading Club is just around the corner! No matter what age, the library has a club for you. All programs will run from June 1st to August 13th. Earn prizes while enjoying great reads! A special kickoff party will be held on Friday, June 4th, from 10-11 a.m., and will feature live music and fun. Also, be among the first 350 people to join us at the downtown SUBWAY restaurant between 7:30 and 9:30 that same morning and enjoy a free “Reader’s Choice” breakfast sandwich. We hope to see you there!

National Library Week

FRIDAY, APRIL 16: 11 A.M.-1 P.M.
PATRON APPRECIATION DAY:
Join us at the library for food and fun! Let us show our appreciation to you, our patrons, by giving you a free hot dog, chips and a soda. There will be fun and games, you can tour the bookmobile and keep an eye out for Dewey The Library Dog!
