Missouri River Regional Library Meeting Rooms: The Place For
All Reasons
The Missouri River Regional Library is pleased to provide library
meeting rooms, free of charge, to community groups and organizations
for nonprofit activities intended to educate, enrich , and/or inform
the general public.

Library programs and activities have first priority for use of meeting
rooms.
Meeting Room Usage
Library meeting rooms will be available free of charge during normal
library operating hours to nonprofit community groups and organizations
sponsoring meetings and programs open to the general public provided
these policies and provisions for use set forth are followed:
- A meeting room application must be filled out completely and
on file. Reservations may be made by telephone; however an application
still needs to be filled out. Please contact the library during
business hours to get a meeting room application.

Groups are permitted to use the room no more than once per week.
- The library reserves the right to approve or disapprove any application
at its sole discretion.
- Meetings and programs must be open to anyone interested in attending.
There should be no charges, fees, collections or solicitations
on library property. All meetings must be free and open to the
public, except meetings legitimately closed per state statute.
- Groups are responsible for their own room arrangement. Tables
and chairs can be found in the rear storage area. The library
has a limited number of tables in the meeting rooms. Please consider
this when setting up. Groups are responsible for clean-up and
must return all furniture to the rear storage area when their
meeting ends. If a policy violation occurs the group will no longer
be permitted to use the room.
- Groups desiring to use library equipment must request permission
for its use when applying for the meeting room. Any group using
such equipment shall assume full responsibility for any damage
to equipment while it is in their possession. Please make sure
someone in your group knows how to operate requested equipment.
Library equipment will be provided depending on its availability.

Meeting rooms can be scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. - 8:30
p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1
p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. Meetings must be over in sufficient time
to clean-up and vacate the building. No meetings may begin before or
extend after regular library hours.
- A telephone for use by the public is not available in the meeting
rooms. Library staff will not accept
telephone messages for persons attending meeting room functions.
A pay phone is located on the main floor.
- Smoking is not permitted in the library.
- Non-alcoholic refreshments may be served. Groups must provide
all supplies and service pieces. The group may request permission
to use the available kitchen facilities when applying. The kitchen
must be cleaned and left in the same condition as found.
If refreshments will be served, a $25.00 deposit will be
required and returned if the room and kitchen are left in good
condition.
You Should Fully Understand That:

If a meeting will be canceled, please notify the library as soon as
possible.
- The Library's Multi-Purpose Room presently serves as the
MRRL Art Gallery. Under no circumstances shall anyone attending
a meeting in the Multi-Purpose Room touch or attempt to move any
of the art on display. Any loss or damage to an exhibit, which
occurs during a meeting, shall be the financial responsibility
or the organization or individual reserving the room.

The library will not assume responsibility for any materials left on
the premises.

The group sponsoring the gathering will be responsible for the
orderly conduct of the group and for any damage to library property
or equipment. The library may assess charges for any damage.

The individual initiating the request for the meeting room will be
considered the official representative of the group and will assume
responsibility for communicating meeting room policies to the group.

Please ask your group to not use the 30-minute library patron parking
on the north side of the building.
